|Shortening||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Catfish steaks||12 Pound|
|Cornmeal||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1)In a deep heavy kettle, melt shortening and add eggs and milk.
2)Apply light coat of salt and pepper on the fish.
3)Now, dip it into mixture and then into cornmeal.
4)In a pan, heat shortening and deep fry the fish until golden brown.
5)Serve the battered catfish with hush puppies.
