1)Cut catfish into 2-inch pieces.
2)Keep aside 2 bacon slices and chop the remaining slices.
3)Peel and chop potato and onion into 1/4-inch slices.
4)Take 3 quart pot and put bacon in it.
5)Then, arrange in layers catfish, onions and potatoes.
6)Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle reserved bacon and cover the pot.
7)Simmer until potatoes are tender and catfish is done.
8)Serve the catfish mull down hot.
