|Onions||1 1⁄2 Pound, peeled and thickly sliced|
|Egg yolks||2 , fork beaten|
|Dairy sour cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dry bread crumbs||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Heat milk, butter, salt, and pepper in a saucepan.
Add onion and cook covered until tender, about 15 minutes.
Turn onion mixture into a 1 quart casserole and pour a mixture of egg yolks, sour cream, and cheese over onions.
Top with bread crumbs.
Heat in a 350Â°F oven 10 to 12 minutes.
