This Sweet Potato Casserole is from my Mom's cookbook; an easy to prepare treat for a family get together! An irresitible combination of sweet potatoes and herbs - this Sweet Potato Casserole is something you must not want to miss out on!
|Canned sweet potatoes/Canned yams||32 Ounce, drained and mashed (2 Cans Of 16 Ounce Each)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dry sherry||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||6 Tablespoon, softened|
|Grated lemon peel||1 Teaspoon, grated freshly|
|Cayenne pepper||1 Dash|
In a bowl, beat sweet potatoes, milk, sherry and butter with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add remaining ingredients and beat well.
Pour into greased crock pot.
Cover and cook on high setting for 1 hour, then turn to low setting for 3 to 4 hours.
