Chicken Casserole With White Wine

Chicken Casserole is an uncomplicated dish that is easy to prepare and it is also very filling! They are perfect for your weekend luncheon with families and relatives! Don't miss out on this wonderful Chicken Casserole recipe.
  Chicken 1 (In Frying Pieces)
  Seasoned flour 1 Tablespoon
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Small, finely chopped
  Canned tomatoes 14 Ounce (Undrained)
  White wine 1⁄4 Pint
  Bay leaf 1 Small
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  Mushrooms 1⁄4 Pound, sauteed
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste

Coat chicken with flour; brown quickly in hot butter.
Place chicken in large saucepan.
Add onion to hot butter.
Fry gently until softened and browned.
Add to chicken with tomatoes, white wine, seasonings and sugar.
Cover; simmer gently for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until chicken is tender.
About 5 minutes before chicken is tender remove bay leaf.
Add sauteed mushrooms.
Serve with boiled spaghetti or baked potato.
