Barbara'S Chili Casserole
|White navy beans/Pea beans||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cooking fat||3 Tablespoon|
|Onion||1 Large, diced|
|Minced beef||2 Pound|
|Diced celery||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Canned mushroom soup||10 Ounce|
|Chili powder||4 Teaspoon|
|Canned tomatoes||20 Ounce|
Soak beans overnight and cook until tender in boiling salted water.
Cook onion in hot fat until tender and golden brown.
Add meat and cook uncovered, stirring until browned.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Bake covered, at 375 F for 1 hour.
Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer or until meat is tender and tomatoes almost evaporated.
