Salt and pepper pork chops; brown on both sides in crisco.
Drain fat from chops.
Arrange pork chops in a casserole; garnish each chop with an onion and pepper slice.
Pour tomato soup over chops.
Cover casserole; bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
May substitue condensed mushroom soup for tomato soup, if desired.
Serve with rice.
