Sausage And Apple Casserole
|White bread slices||8 Cup (128 tbs), cubed (About 15 Slices)|
|Country sausage||1 Pound|
|Onion||1 Large, diced|
|Green pepper||1 , diced|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Apples||2 Large, pared, cored, and chopped|
Use stale white bread for cubes, or stale them by putting in 250Â°F oven for 10 minutes.
Brown the country sausage in a large skillet.
Cook until there is no trace of pink in meat.
Add onion and green pepper; cook for 2 minutes more.
Stir in bread cubes, water, apples, and salt.
Mix together until all is evenly moist.
Turn out cooked mixture into a well-greased casserole.
Cook in 350Â°F oven 30 minutes or until the top crusts.
