Hearty Beef Casserole

Ingredients
  Stewing beef/Beef chuck 2 Pound, cut in 2 inch squares
  Burgundy/Red dinner wine 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Canned condensed consomme 21 Ounce
  Onions 2 Medium, sliced
  Fine dry bread crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sifted
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine beef, wine, consomme, salt, pepper and onions in casserole.
Mix crumbs with flour and stir into meat; cover.
Bake in 300-degree oven about 3 hours or until beef is tender.
Serve over fluffy white rice, if desired.
