Betty's Potato Casserole Supreme

Ingredients

Potatoes 8 Large , peeled, sliced (6
Butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Salt 1 1/2 Teaspoon (1
Black pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
Milk 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs) , warm
Cooking oil spray 1 Teaspoon (as needed)
Heavy cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Cheddar cheese 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) , finely shredded

Directions

GETTING READY

1. In a pot boil water and cook potatoes in it for about 20 minutes or until fork-tender.

2. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

3. Grease a 13-inch by 9-inch by 2-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

MAKING

4. Drain water from the potatoes and add butter, salt, black pepper, and warm milk in it. Beat until fluffy.

5. Taste and adjust seasoning of salt and pepper, if needed.

6 Transfer potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Set aside.

7. In a medium sized bowl, add heavy cream and whip it well.

8. Drop cheddar cheese and fold to incorporate.

9. Pour cheese mixture over potatoes, and spread evenly.

10. Pop the baking dish in oven and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

SERVING

11. Serve potato casserole hot.

TIPS

You can prepare the dish ahead of time. Warp casserole with plastic wrap. Cover it with foil and pop it in refrigerator. Just add topping before baking.
