  Okra 1⁄2 Pound
  Tomatoes 4
  Onion 1
  American cheese 1 Pound
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

"Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Cut tips and ends from okra; slice crosswise.
Arrange tomatoes, onion, okra and cheese in layers in buttered casserole; add sea- sonings to each layer.
Bake, covered, for 40 minutes."
