Scrumptious Carrot Casserole
|Carrots||3 Pound, scraped and cut into 1/4-inch slices|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Half and half||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dry mustard||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Sour cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (commercial)|
|Prepared horseradish||1 Tablespoon|
|Bread slice||4 , torn into small pieces|
1)Preheat the oven at 350°.
2)Cook carrots in boiling water till it is tender.
3)In a 2 1/2-quart casserole, put some carrots and keep it aside.
4)In a heavy saucepan melt some butter adding flour into it and cook for a minute, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
5)In the mixture slowly add half-and-half,stir it till thick.
6)Add some salt, pepper, dry mustard, sour cream, horseradish and pour it over carrots.
7) Melt butter and saute bread over it till it is golden in colour.
8)Apply some butter on the casserole and bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
9)Serve this scrumptious carrot casserole with some thick tomato gravy.
