Frankfurter And Onion Casserole
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), cut in half|
|Bacon drippings||2 Tablespoon|
|Onions||2 Large, thinly sliced|
|Bay leaf||1 Small|
|Green pepper||1 Large, thinly sliced|
|Tomato puree||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Rub bottom of an earthenware casserole with garlic cloves; then grease well with bacon drippings.
Lay frankfurters in casserole.
Top with onions.
Cover with mushrooms.
Season to taste with salt, pepper, thyme, mace, nutmeg, bay leaf and green pepper.
Pour in the tomato puree.
Bake in hot (4000) oven 30 minutes.
