Lazy Beef Casserole
|Lean beef chuck||1 Pound, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes|
|Red wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Consomme||10 1⁄2 Ounce, undiluted (1 Can)|
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Fine dry bread crumbs||1⁄4|
|All-purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
1) Preheat the oven to the desired temperature of 300Â°F.
2) In a casserole,combine the meat with the wine, consomme, seasonings and onion.
3) Gradually mix flour and bread crumbs into the mixture and fold into the liquid.
4) Cover the casserole with lid and bake about 3 hours. (Or, a lower temperature and longer cooking time may be used if desired).
5) Serve hot.
