Sweet Potato Apple Casserole
|Cooked sweet potatoes||4 Cup (64 tbs), thinly sliced|
|Unpeeled apples||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs), thinly sliced|
|Sliced orange/2 ounce frozen orange juice||2|
|Hot water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In greased casserole, put in layer of sweet potatoes, layer of apples alternately, finishing with layer of sweet potatoes.
Mix sugar and flour, cream in margarine and mix with hot water, stirring thoroughly.
Place orange slices on top of last layer of sweet potatoes, or if orange juice is used add to other mixture and pour liquid mixture over casserole contents.
Bake at 350° for about 1 hour or until apples are tender and top is slightly browned.
