Pinto Bean Casserole
|Ground beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Tomato sauce||15 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Chili powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Cooked rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Canned pinto beans||15 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Grated cheddar cheese||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Brown beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic.
Blend in tomato sauce, chili powder, and salt.
In greased 2-quart casserole, layer part of meat sauce, beans, half of cheese, and remainder of meat sauce.
Top with other half cheese.
Bake 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Let stand a few minutes before serving.
Rolls or garlic toast and salad with this casserole make a complete meal.
