Turkey and Sausage Casserole
|Pork sausage meat||1⁄2 Pound|
|Chopped celery||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Uncooked rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chicken noodle soup||31 1⁄2 Ounce (3 Cans Of 10 1/2 Ounce Each)|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Blanched almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sliced|
|Sliced cooked turkey||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Crushed potato chips||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Saute sausage, celery, and onion until meat is browned.
Combine with rice, soup, water, almonds, and sliced turkey in a 3-quart casserole.
Bake in moderately slow oven (325°) for 1 1/2 hours.
Remove cover for last 20 minutes and top with crushed potato chips; continue baking.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
To bake a smaller casserole, reduce time to about 1 hour.
