Celery With Almonds
|Light cream/Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Bias sliced celery||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Sliced mushrooms||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dry white wine/Chicken broth||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sliced almonds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), toasted|
Combine cornstarch, salt, and pepper; stir in cream or milk.
In wok melt butter or margarine over medium heat.
Add celery and mushrooms; stir-fry for 8 to 10 minutes or till celery is crisp tender.
Stir cream mixture; stir into wok.
Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly; cook and stir 2 minutes longer.
Stir in wine or broth.
Cover and cook 1 minute longer.
Garnish with almonds.
