Tomato Casserole

Ingredients
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Ripe tomatoes 4 Medium, sliced
  Sharp process american cheese 4 Ounce, shredded
  Fine soft bread crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Dairy sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , well beaten
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Cook onions in butter till tender.
Place half the tomatoes in 10 x 6 x 1 1/2 -inch baking dish.
Top with half each onions, cheese, and crumbs; repeat.
Mix remaining ingredients.
Pour over top; cover.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
Uncover ; bake 10 minutes longer.
