Pasta And Mushroom Cheese Casserole
|Dry shallots||2 , peeled and chopped|
|Fresh mushrooms||3⁄4 Pound, cleaned and sliced|
|Milk||3 Cup (48 tbs), heated|
|White pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cooked pasta||3 Cup (48 tbs), hot (Al Dente)|
|Grated mozzarella cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 375 Â°F (190 Â°C).
Heat butter in saute pan over medium heat. Add shallots and mushrooms. Season and cook 5 minutes. Incorporate sherry and continue cooking 3 minutes.
Add flour, mix well and cook 2 minutes over low heat. Whisk in hot milk, season with salt, nutmeg and white pepper. Cook 12 minutes over low heat, stirring frequently.
Add pasta to sauce and mix well. Transfer mixture to buttered baking dish. Top with cheese and cook 10 minutes in oven.
