Broccoli and Sirloin Bake

RobinBenzle's picture
My daughter Erin joins me in the kitchen to prepare a one-dish meal featuring 'miniature trees', ground sirloin and gooey cheese. A great way to get lots of broccoli into your diet.
Ingredients
Broccoli 12 Cup (192 tbs), cut into florets (4 Bunches)
Lean ground sirloin 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
Hot chili oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Grated mozzarella cheese 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Tomato paste 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Place broccoli in a large glass bowl, add about 1/4 cup water, partially cover and microwave 10 - 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until broccoli is tender. Meanwhile, cook ground sirloin in a little olive oil until browned.

Drain broccoli and place in a large roasting pan. Toss with olive oil and chili oil. Spread cooked meat on top. Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top of the meat. Bake 5 - 7 minutes, or until cheese is melted and lightly browned
