Mod Frank Casserole

Ingredients
  Salad oil 2 Tablespoon
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Canned frankfurters 24 Ounce (Two 12 Ounce Can)
  Canned pork and beans 2 Pound (Two 1 Pound Can)
  Canned apple sauce 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)
  Prepared mustard 2 Tablespoon
  Chili sauce 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  American cheese slices 3 (Thin Ones)
Directions

Heat oil in skillet and cook onion for 3 minutes or until tender but not browned.
Cut frankfurters in 1/2 inch pieces and add to onion in skillet.
Brown lightly.
Spoon into a 3-quart casserole.
Add pork and beans, apple sauce, mustard and chili sauce and stir to blend.
Bake in a 350° F.oven for 30 minutes.
Arrange cheese on top in a decorative pattern.
Bake several minutes longer or until cheese has melted.
