Macaroni And Cheese Casserole With Cheddar And Tomato

Ingredients
  Elbow macaroni 1 Pound
  Canned whole tomatoes 1 Pound
  Onion 1 Small, grated
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Green pepper 1⁄4 , chopped
  Grated sharp cheddar cheese 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Cook macaroni until tender.
Drain; set aside.
In saucepan combine tomatoes, onion, garlic, green pepper, and seasonings.
Simmer until green pepper and onion are soft.
Grease large oblong baking dish with butter.
Alternate layers of macaroni, cheese, and tomatoes.
Season between layers.
Bake at 350°F 1 hour, until brown on top.
