Cashew Cheese

Try this scrumptious spreadable soy- and dairy-free "cheeze!' Spread on crackers and sandwiches or dip with carrots and celery. A recipe from Rae Sikora.
Ingredients
  Organic raw cashews 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Red pimentos 4 Ounce, drained
  Fresh lemon juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Nutritional yeast 6 Tablespoon
  Salt 2 Teaspoon (Or To Taste)
  Onion powder 1 Teaspoon
  Garlic powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Blend the cashews in blender or food processor until powdery. Add rest of ingredients and blend until very smooth. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for an hour or two.

Serve with whole grain crackers, on celery or carrots or spread on sandwiches.
