Orange Glazed Carrots
|Orange juice||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Carrots||3⁄4 Pound, peeled and cut into 2 1/2 inch julienne strips|
In a small dish, stir together sugar, salt, cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon of the orange juice; set aside.
In a 1 1/2 quart casserole, place carrots and the remaining orange juice.
Cover with a lid or plastic wrap.
Microwave on HIGH (100%) for 6 minutes.
Stir cornstarch mixture once, then add to carrots and toss gently.
Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) for 2 to 3 minutes (stirring every minute) or until sauce thickens and carrots are fork tender.
Let stand, uncovered, for 5 minutes before serving.
