|Green onions||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), minced|
|Hot water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Celery salt||1 Teaspoon|
|Sweet basil||1 Pinch|
Heat oven to 550 degrees.
Butter a 2-qt.casserole.
Cut carrots lengthwise into slender sticks about 1 1/2 inches long (you should have about 6 cups).
Put in prepared casserole.
Sprinkle with onions.
Add water, butter, salt, sugar, celery salt and sweet basil.
Cover tightly and bake 15 minutes.
Stir lightly with a fork and continue baking, cover for 20 minutes or more or until carrots are tender.
