1. Preheat the oven to moderate, 350°F/ 180°c/ gas mark 4.
2. In a one quart casserole dish put the salt, water and carrots and bake it in the preheated oven for 50 minutes.
3. Remove and toss with the butter.
4. Serve hot as a side dish with meats or as the regular vegetable intake for kids lunch.
