Maple Glazed Carrots And Shallots

Ingredients
  Baby carrots 16 Ounce (1 Package)
  Margarine/Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Thinly sliced shallots 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Low fat maple flavored pancake syrup 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  White pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Place carrots in medium saucepan. Add enough water to cover carrots. Simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until carrots are tender. Drain; set aside.
2. In same saucepan, melt margarine over medium-high heat. Add shallots; cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until shallots begin to brown. Add carrots, syrup, salt and pepper. Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes or until carrots are coated and heated through.
