Maple Glazed Carrots And Shallots
|Baby carrots||16 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Thinly sliced shallots||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Low fat maple flavored pancake syrup||2 Tablespoon|
|White pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
1. Place carrots in medium saucepan. Add enough water to cover carrots. Simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until carrots are tender. Drain; set aside.
2. In same saucepan, melt margarine over medium-high heat. Add shallots; cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until shallots begin to brown. Add carrots, syrup, salt and pepper. Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes or until carrots are coated and heated through.
