Potato, Carrot And Onion Borguignonne

Ingredients
  Potatoes 8 Ounce, sliced (225 Gram)
  Small onions 8 Ounce (225 Gram)
  Button mushrooms 4 Ounce (125 Gram)
  Butter 1 Ounce (25 Gram)
  Oil 1 Tablespoon
  Syrup 1 Ounce (25 Gram)
  Flour 1 Tablespoon
  Red wine 1⁄4 Pint (150 Milliliter)
  Beef stock 1⁄4 Pint (150 Milliliter)
  Tomato puree 2 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
  Salt To Taste
  Black pepper To Taste
Directions

MAKING
1. In a pan, heat oil and butter, add syrup, onion, potatoes and carrots to it and cook until brown
2. Add mushrooms and cook for another minute; add flour and stir, scraping the sediments from the pan
3. Add in all the rest of the ingredients, cover tightly and cook for half an hout till tender

SERVING
4. Remove the bay leaf, sprinkle chopped parsley and serve
