1 In a 1-quart casserole cook the carrots in the water, covered, on 100% power (high) for 2 to 3 minutes or till crisp-tender.Add the pea pods.
2 Cook, covered, on high for 1 to 2 minutes or till the pea pods are crisp-tender.Let stand covered while preparing the orange sauce.
3 For the orange sauce, in a 1-cup measure combine orange peel, orange juice, and cornstarch.Stir in soy sauce.
4 Cook, uncovered, on high for 2 to 3 minutes or till thickened and bubbly, stirring every 30 seconds.Drain the carrot mixture.
5 Gently toss the orange sauce with carrot mixture.Cook, covered, on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute or till heated through.
6 Serve as a side dish.
