2 or 3 firm red tomatoes, peeled
1/2 green pepper
1/4 head crisp lettuce or romaine
2 underripe bananas, sliced
1 tbs fresh lime juice
1/4 cup chopped sweet pickles
1/4 cup sweet French-style dressing
1/2 cup toasted blanched almonds
Cut tomatoes and green pepper into large dice and drain well.
Toss with broken or coarsely shredded lettuce.
Mix bananas, lime juice, pickles and dressing together with a fork and pour over the vegetables.
Toss lightly and pile into a salad bowl.
Sprinkle with almonds.
