Caramel Filling

This caramel filling recipe is a cooked filling recipe made with milk, brown sugar, butter and cornstarch. Flavored with a little vanilla, this caramel filling can be used for desserts or candies of choice and can be used as a frosting too!
Ingredients
  Brown sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Corn starch 2 Teaspoon
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1.In a double boiler, cook sugar, cornstarch, milk and butter together, until thick
2.Remove from the fire and beat vigorously until the mixture is stiff
3.Add flavoring
4.Cool before spreading on cake
SERVING
5.Serve over cake
