This video recipe for Dragon bread candy is a traditional Chinese sweet much like spun sugar. It is formed with thick saturated maltose solution which when cooled is spun into a candy. This candy is fun to eat and prepare too. Let us learn the right method here.
1. Slowly pull and expand the ring, making sure same thickness on the ring.
2. Pull ring until about 6 inches in diameter, turn into 8 shape, then put them together to form 2 rings. repeat the above step for 11 times.
3. On the eleventh time you will have 4,096 strands of sugar. The dragon candy is almost done.
4. Pull and break strands into 4 inches long and wrap with blended peanuts, add some toasted sesame if you wish.
