Christmas Candy Balls

The christmas candy balls are cooked dessert candy balls made with potatoes and nuts. Cooked and pressed, the potatoes are combined with sugar, vanill and nuts and shaped into balls. Chilled and spiced with cinnamon and sugar, the christmas candy balls are garnished with cheryy halves. festive yet simple, these cristhmas candy balls are soft and delicious.
Ingredients
  Potatoes 2 Medium, scrubbed
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Chopped pecans 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Confectioner's sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Candied red cherries/Candied green cherries 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), cut in halves
Directions

Cook potatoes in their skins, peel, press through ricer or food mill.
Mix in sugar, vanilla extract, and nuts.
Chill.
Form little balls; coat them with confectioners' sugar mixed with cinnamon.
Put into small fluted paper cups and garnish with cherry halves.
Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.
