Salt Water Taffy

Ingredients
  Sugar 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  White corn syrup 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Food coloring 3 Drop
  Peppermint oil 2 Drop
Directions

Combine sugar, syrup and 2 cups water in saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Boil without stirring, until temperature reaches 250 degrees on candy thermometer.
Remove from heat; add butter and salt.
Pour out onto buttered platters; cool enough to handle.
Drop food coloring and flavoring on top; pull until candy glistens and hardens.
Cut into bite-sized pieces; wrap in waxed paper.
