Christmas Candy Molds
|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Light corn syrup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Peppermint oil/Other flavoring oil||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Food coloring||3 Drop (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
|Nonstick vegetable cooking spray||1|
In buttered 2-quart saucepan mix sugar, syrup, and 2/3 cup water.
Bring to boiling; stir constantly till sugar dissolves.
Cook to hard-crack stage or till candy thermometer registers 300° Remove from heat; add flavoring oil and coloring.
Cool to 200° Meanwhile, spray inside of plastic Christmas candle molds well with nonstick vegetable coating.
Using wooden spoon, push cooled syrup into molds.
Cool till firm.
