Molded Candies

Ingredients
  Solid white shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Water 2 Teaspoon
  Powdered sugar replacement 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Beat shortening and water until fluffy; stir in sugar replacement.
Knead until smooth.
Continue as follows for individual molds.
APPLES: Flavor with 2 tsp (10 mL) unsweetened drink mix.
Mold into apple shapes; brush lightly with diluted red food color.
Use whole clove for stem.
Banana: Flavor with 1 tsp (5 mL) banana oil and knead in 3 drops of yellow food color.
Mold into banana shapes.
Orange: Flavor with 1 tsp (5 mL) orange oil and knead in 2 drops of red and 1 drop of yellow food color.
Mold into orange shapes.
Use whole clove for stem.
Strawberry: Flavor with 2 tsp (10 mL) strawberry flavoring or rose water and knead in 3 drops of red food color or desired amount.
Mold into strawberry shapes, pricking each with toothpick to create seed holes.
Push small green satin decoration into top for stem.
(Satin decorations can be purchased at craft stores.)
