Betty demonstrates how to make Candy Strawberries. This candy is delicate and oh, so tasty! It is terrific candy, and it makes a great decoration for iced cakes or cupcakes.
Ground pecans | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Sweetened condensed milk | 14 Ounce | |
Sweetened flaked coconut | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
Strawberry jello packet | 12 Ounce (sugar variety) | |
Red sugar crystals | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (use as required) |
Making
In a medium-sized bowl, stir together pecans, sweetened condensed milk, coconut, and dry Jello mix.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill at least 2 hours or overnight.
Form into balls and then shape into strawberries. Roll in red sugar crystals.
Put slices of almonds for stems, if desired. This candy should be refrigerated, in order for pieces to keep their shape.
Note: It is great as candy and can also be used as a decoration on an iced cake or cupcakes.
