Toasted Sardine Canape

Ingredients
  Boneless skinless sardines 6 Small, drained
  Tomato ketchup 1 Teaspoon
  Finely chopped celery 1 Tablespoon
  Grated onion 1 Teaspoon
  Cayenne pepper 1 Dash
  Mayonnaise 1 Tablespoon
  Thin rye bread slices 8 (Adjust Quantity As Needed)
  Grated parmesan cheese 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Mash sardines with fork.
Add catchup, celery, onion, and cayenne.
Moisten with mayonnaise to a spreadable consistency.
Pile lightly on thin slices of rye bread toast.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and broil quickly under medium heat, until hot through, and an appetizing brown on the surface.
