The exact origin of the cocktail is unknown, but it has been around for some decades now. Over the years, many variations of the drink have evolved but the most popular still is the traditional Canadian cocktail drink made from the original ingredients.

Ingredients and Method of Preparation: Canadian Cocktail Recipe

The Canadian cocktail is made from Canadian whiskey, Curacao, lemon juice and Angostura bitters. Sugar syrup is an optional ingredients and is added to make the drink sweeter than normal.

This cocktail is prepared much like any other cocktail. All ingredients are put in a cocktail shaker with about half a cup of cracked ice and mixed well till a drinkable concoction is formed. The cocktail is then strained into a glass and ready to be served. Preparation time is merely a few minutes.

Preparation of this cocktail can be made quicker, easier and more convenient by pouring the ingredients in a blender and blending them into a smooth concoction.

Various Canadian Cocktail Recipes

Canadian cocktails are mostly prepared the standard way. There are, however, a few variations which have mostly come up for and because of people who prefer sweeter cocktails. Sugar syrup can be added and the Angostura bitters can be skipped for a more easily drinkable version and skipping the lemon juice will turn the Canadian Cocktail into a Marlene Dietrich cocktail.
