Panocha

The panocha is a brownie made with brownsugar, butter, milk and nut meats. Flavored with a hint of vanilla, the panocha is a cooked brownie and can be made with nuts of choice.
Ingredients
  Brown sugar 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeats 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1.In a saucepan, put the sugar and milk and cook to the soft-ball stage, or 238° F.
2.Remove from the fire, add butter and vanilla, and cool without stirring.
3.When it is lukewarm, beat until it is creamy.
4.Stir in the broken nut-meats.
5.Hickory nuts, walnuts or pecans are especially nice.
6.Pour into a buttered pan and when it hardens mark into squares.
SERVING
7.Serve with chocolate sauce
