French Canadian Onion Soup
|Onions||3 Large, thinly sliced|
|Butter/Vegetable oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Seasoned meat stock||5 1⁄2 Cup (88 tbs)|
|Tabasco||2 Drop (Few Drops)|
|Grated cheddar cheese||4 Ounce|
Fry onions in oil until golden brown.
Stir in flour, then stock and seasonings; simmer 10 minutes.
Pour soup into individual ovenproof dishes, put a slice of toast on top, and cover with cheese.
Broil 3 to 4 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
