|Chopped celery||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped green pepper||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Canned tomatoes||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Garlic salt||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Saute ground beef and onion in shortening until onion is soft and all trace of pinkness disappears from meat.
Cover bottom of 2-quart casserole with meat and onions; add layer of potatoes, celery and green pepper.
Repeat layers, addseasonings and pour canned tomatoes over.
Cook, covered, 45-60 minutes or until potatoes are done.
