Chop Suey Canadian
|Rice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), cooked as directed|
|Onions||3 Large, chopped (Good Sized)|
|Celery stick||2 , cut up, not too fine|
|Carrots||2 , grated|
|Green pepper||1⁄2 , cut in medium pieces|
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
1 Preheat the oven at 350 degrees fahrenheit.
2 In a cast iron frying pan, sear the beef until brown.
3 Remove the beef from the pan.
4 In the same pan, add enough butter and gently fry the vegetables.
5 In a bowl, combine cooked rice, seared meat, and vegetables together.
6 Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
7 Transfer to a casserole.
8 In a bowl, mix 1 can tomato soup with 1 can of water.
9 Pour over the mixture in the casserole.
10 Bake for about 45 minutes.
11 Serve hot.
