Ingredients
  Raisins 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Hot water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Hot roll mix 13 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Package)
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Grated lemon peel 1 Teaspoon
  Ground mace 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Chopped walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon, melted
  Fine dry bread crumbs 3 Tablespoon
Directions

Soak raisins in hot water.
Let stand till raisins are plump.
Drain; set aside.
Heat milk just till warm (115° to 120°); add yeast from hot roll mix and stir till yeast is dissolved.
Combine eggs, 1/2 cup butter or margarine, sugar, lemon peel, ground mace, and yeast mixture.
Add flour from hot roll mix; beat by hand till smooth.
Stir in raisins and chopped walnuts.
Cover; let rise in warm place till double (1 1/2 to 2 hours).
Meanwhile brush an 8-cup fluted tube pan , or kugelhof mold with the 1 tablespoon melted butter or margarine.
Sprinkle bottom and sides of mold with fine dry bread crumbs.
Stir down batter.
Carefully spoon batter into mold; cover.
Let batter rise till almost double (50 to 60 minutes).
Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool kugelhof in pan for 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Cool on rack.
