Canadian Pork Pie

Ingredients
  Ground pork 1 Pound
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Finely chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Fine dry bread crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Ground sage 1 Dash
  Ground nutmeg 1 Dash
  Pastry 1 (For 2-Crust 9-Inch Pie)
Directions

Brown the pork in skillet; drain off excess fat.
Add water, onion, crumbs, and seasonings.
Simmer, covered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Line 9-inch pie plate with pastry.
Turn meat mixture into crust.
Adjust top crust; seal.
Cut slits in top for escape of steam.
Bake at 400° till crust is golden brown, about 35 minutes.
