Pollo En Agridulce
|Frying chicken||3 1⁄2 Pound, cut up (1 Whole)|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Lime juice||1 Tablespoon (Juice Of 1 Lime)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Salt||2 1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chorizos||2 , sliced (Spanish Sausages)|
Wash chicken in mixture of the water and lime juice.
Drain and dry on absorbent paper.
Mash garlic with the seasonings.
Rub well into both sides of chicken pieces.
Melt butter in large skillet.
Add chicken and brown quickly on both sides.
Add remaining ingredients.
As soon as sugar melts, turn heat to low, cover skillet, and cook for 30 minutes.
Uncover, turn chicken pieces, and cook for 30 minutes longer, or until chicken is tender.
