|Fine oatmeal||8 Ounce (250 Gram)|
|Soda bicarbonate||1 1⁄2 Pinch (Generous Pinch)|
|Melted butter||1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Hot water||1 Cup (16 tbs) (To Mix)|
Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, then add the fat and sufficient hot water to make a fairly stiff dough.
Roll out as thinly as possible on a board dusted with plenty of oatmeal.
Use light, swift strokes and handle quickly.
Roll into a circle the size of a small dinner-plate and divide into three.
Bake on a hot griddle for 5 minutes, then finish off in a moderately hot oven (200°C/ 400°F/Gas Mark 6) for another 5-10 minutes.
