Canadian Style Bacon Roast With Pineapple
|Canadian style bacon||2 Pound (1 Piece)|
|Crushed pineapple||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Honey||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
If necessary, remove casing from bacon; place bacon fat side up in ungreased baking dish, 8x8x2 inches.
Stir together pineapple (with syrup), honey, ginger and water; pour over bacon.
Insert meat thermometer so tip is in center of bacon.
Roast uncovered in 325° oven 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until thermometer registers 160°.
Baste bacon occasionally with pineapple mixture during roasting.
Place bacon on platter; spoon pineapple mixture over meat.
Cut into 1/4 inch slices.
