Crown Jewels are delicious and easy to make. A perfect base for fruit toppings it makes for a wonderful dessert! Don’t miss out on this brilliant Crown Jewels recipe!
Ingredients
For topping
  Butter/Margarine 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Grated orange peel 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Hard cooked egg yolks 2 , sieved
  Sifted all-purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Directions

Prepare Toppings.
Cream butter with orange peel.
Gradually add sugar, beating until fluffy.
Blend in sieved hard-cooked egg yolks.
Add flour in fourths, mixing well after each addition.
Press dough firmly onto bottom of ungreased 15x10x1-inch jelly roll pan.
Bake at 350°F 20 minutes.
While still warm, spread with Date Topping and then Candied Fruit Topping.
Cool thoroughly and cut into fancy shapes.
